Promising Ghanaian Football Administrator Jonas Sena Dorho Murdered on Good Friday – Nkoranza Adehyea FC and Agribusiness Community in Shock

Date:

Ghanaian football and agribusiness sectors were rocked on Friday, April 18, 2025, when Jonas Sena Dorho—a visionary entrepreneur and owner of Division Two side Nkoranza Adehyea FC—was found brutally murdered on his farm. What should have been a solemn Good Friday turned into one of the darkest days in recent memory for Ghana’s sporting fraternity.

The deceased, Jonas Sena Dorho

Dorho was more than just a club owner. As the founder of Jon‑Dor Ventures, a leading supplier of ammonium sulphate fertilizer, he was celebrated for his dedication to both football development and local agriculture. Under his guidance, Nkoranza Adehyea FC had steadily climbed in prominence within the Bono East Region, fueling widespread anticipation that the club would soon challenge for a place in the Ghana Premier League.

Friends and colleagues describe Dorho as “dedicated, passionate, and ambitious,” with lofty plans to transform grassroots football in Ghana. “He was killed on his own farm on Good Friday,” a close associate revealed. “We are all in deep sorrow now.” The violence of the attack, in a community long regarded as peaceful, has left family, fans, and football officials alike reeling.

The alleged lifeless body of the deceased.

The Brong and Ahafo Regional Football Association (BARFA) and Nkoranza Municipal Football Association have both officially confirmed Dorho’s death, issuing statements of condolence. “BARFA mourns with the entire Nkoranza Adehyea FC fraternity for this tragic loss,” the regional body said, “Our prayers and thoughts are with Jonas’s family and the club during this difficult time.”

As investigations continue, Ghanaian football mourns the loss of one of its most promising administrators. Tributes are pouring in from across the nation, underscoring the profound impact Dorho had on the game and the communities he served.
